Make sure that you understand the process, what you will need and take the eligibility quiz to ensure that you are eligible to apply.

Stage 1 Application

If you are eligible, complete the online Application Form using the Help Notes to guide you through the questions and submit by 12pm Monday 8 November 2021

Stage 1 Application processing

Acknowledgement
We will acknowledge receipt of your application within one working day.

Assessment
We will assess your application. We may be in contact with you during this time to clarify something or to request more information.

Expert panel
Assessment recommendations will be considered by the Expert Panel.

Notification
We will contact you to let you know whether your Stage 1 application is successful or unsuccessful by the end of March 2022.

Stage 2 Application

If you have been awarded funding to produce your Ecological Assessment Management Plan (EAMP), you will need to accept your award and the Terms and Conditions and provide further documentation (eg. bank details) before we can pay the award.

Undertake the work to carry out your Ecological Assessment Management Plan (EAMP) including the DEFRA Biodiversity Metric.

Undertake any work as required from the feedback on your application or project from the Expert Panel in your notification letter.

Complete the online Stage 2 application form and submit by 12pm Monday 19th September 2022).

Stage 2 Application processing

Expert Panel
Assessment recommendations will be considered by the Expert Panel.

Independent Panel
Recommendations by the Expert Panel will be ratified.

Notification
We will contact you to let you know whether your Stage 2 application is successful or unsuccessful by the end of April 2023.

Project Delivery

You will need to accept your award and the Terms and Conditions. Some conditions will need to be met before we can start paying your award and your project can start.
